This CytoTest FISH probe set is designed to simultaneously determine the copy number of human chromosomes 4, 10 and 17, and to detect copy number aberrations in these chromosomes, in metaphase and interphase blood and tissue cells. The panel contains three different probes:

CCP4 is derived from chromosome 4 specific centromeric (4p11.1-q11.1) alpha satellite DNA.
CCP10 is derived from chromosome 10 specific centromeric (10p11.1-q11.1) alpha satellite DNA.
CCP17 is derived from chromosome 17 specific centromeric (17p11.1-q11.1) alpha satellite DNA.

Trisomies and other aberrations of these three chromosomes have been observed in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and other malignancies.

The probe is labeled with CytoOrange, CytoGreen and CytoAqua. CytoOrange is a fluorophore with an excitation peak at 551 nm and emission peak at 575 nm, giving it an orange fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter; CytoGreen has an excitation peak at 495 nm and emission peak at 518 nm, giving it a green fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter; CytoAqua has an excitation peak at 422 nm and emission peak at 471 nm, giving it an aqua fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter.
