The BRAF-KIAA1549 Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human KIAA1549 locus and the BRAF gene located on chromosome band 7q34. Fusions of KIAA1549 with the BRAF gene – also known as v-raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1, NS7, B-raf, BRAF1, RAFB1 or B-RAF1 - have been found in pilocytic astrocytomas and other malignancies.
