The BAP1/CCP3 FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human BAP1 gene located on chromosome band 3p21.1, along with the number of chromosome 3 copies per cell. Abnormal expression or rearrangements of the BAP1 gene – also known as UCHL2, hucep-6 or HUCEP-13 - has been observed in various cancer types as well as some heritable and neurological conditions.

The probe is labeled with CytoOrange and CytoGreen. CytoOrange is a fluorophore with an excitation peak at 551 nm and emission peak at 575 nm, giving it an orange fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter; CytoGreen has an excitation peak at 495 nm and emission peak at 518 nm, giving it an green fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter.
