The CHFR/CCP12 FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human CHFR gene located on chromosome band 12q24.33, along with the number of chromosome 12 copies per cell. Abnormalities in CHFR – also known as RNF116 or RNF196 – occur in various types of cancers such as colorectal, breast, lung, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma and other malignancies.

The probe is labeled with CytoOrange and CytoGreen. CytoOrange is a fluorophore with an excitation peak at 551 nm and emission peak at 575 nm, giving it an orange fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter; CytoGreen has an excitation peak at 495 nm and emission peak at 518 nm, giving it an green fluorescent signal with an appropriate filter.
