If FISH results reflected inappropriate enzyme digestion on the paraffin-embedded tissue sample, can I re-digest the tissue and repeat the FISH experi
Yes, you can. The probes hybridized on the sample should be washed off before the enzyme re-digestion.

When using a microscope, how can one solve the problem of uneven brightness on the screen?
The uneven brightness phenomenon may be caused by light path displacement. Please contact your microscope vendor for repair and maintenance.

How to clean oil immersion objective lens after use?
We recommend that you gently absorb the oil on the objective lens with a piece of lens paper and wipe the lens with lens paper or cotton swab dampened with 100% alcohol or oil immersion lens cleaning solution.

How do I maintain a fluorescence microscope in the lab?
The temperature and humidity should not be allowed to get too high. Please be aware that once turned on, the fluorescence microscope itself will emit a huge amount of heat energy. Second of all, objective lenses are prone to mold formation when in a humid environment. It is advised to keep both humidity control and air-conditioning running in the microscope facility; always clean the oil immersion lens after use and cover them with a dust cover; keep a log to record the use of microscope and lamps.

How do I choose a fluorescence microscope?
There are currently four major brands of florescence microscopes on the market most widely used for research, including Zeiss, Leica, Olympus and Nikon. After choosing the model of microscope, you need to purchase a fluorescent light source (including light bulbs and light boxes), fluorescent power controller, fluorescent filters, fluorescent dial or slider, and lenses, and electric or manual gate for fluorescent experiments. The most important step is the selection of fluorescent filters and objective lenses, which will affect the outcome of fluorescent experiment results.

How often should I replace the fluorescence filters of a microscope?
It varies on the usage. If a filter has been used for a long time, and scratches are observed at the center of the filter, there will be interference with the light paths, and the presentation of FISH experiment results could deteriorate. It would then be time to replace the filter.

How often do fluorescence microscope light bulbs need to be replaced?
In general, 100-watt mercury lamps can last for around 200 hours. Lamps should be replaced regularly to obtain good images.
